Privacy Policy — SonicDesk
SonicDesk does not collect, sell or share personal data. It has no accounts, analytics, advertising or tracking, and the developer receives no data from your use of it.
Your files stay on your device
- Music is read from folders you choose, directly in your browser. Files are never uploaded or copied elsewhere.
- Editing, merging, noise reduction and format conversion in Studio happen entirely on your device.
- Recording uses your microphone, or a tab’s audio, only after you grant the browser’s permission. The recording stays in the editor on your device until you export it.
The only network activity: “Discover” (Pro)
When — and only when — you search in Discover, your search words are sent to the catalog you selected: Openverse (api.openverse.org) or the Internet Archive (archive.org), and audio previews are streamed from them. Those services’ own privacy policies apply. Access to them is an optional permission requested the first time you use Discover; you can revoke it at any time in your browser’s extension settings. Nothing from Discover is downloaded or stored by the extension.
Pro license
A license key is verified with Lemon Squeezy when you activate it and periodically when online. A short local cache allows Pro to keep working temporarily without a connection. The key you enter is stored locally in your browser. Purchases are handled by an external payment provider under its own privacy policy; we receive your email address and order details from it in order to send your key and give support.
Data stored locally
To work, the extension stores in your browser (IndexedDB and localStorage): in Pro, the list of libraries and a cached index of titles, durations and small cover thumbnails, your favorites and playlists, and the playback position; in all versions, volume, language, equalizer and layout settings. This data never leaves your device and is removed when you uninstall the extension or clear its data.
This website
This website uses no cookies and no analytics. It remembers your language choice in your browser only.
Permissions
No install-time permissions are requested. Folder access is granted by you through the browser’s folder picker; microphone and tab-audio capture use the browser’s own prompts; Discover’s network access is optional and requested on first use.
Children
The extension is a general-purpose tool and collects no data from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be published at this address with a new date.

البيانات المخزّنة محلياً
